Hope House

VSL Chartered Operators offer structured sober living for men and women where every guest is supported in their recovery journeys. Guests live together as a family to develop the tools and strengthen their character in order to live free from substance abuse. Independent living is difficult, and sober housing offers an attractive alternative to many options available to men and women in early recovery. Step 2: Phone Screen

Hope House

Guests are ofter referred from treatment or other clinical or judicial settings, but many guests self-refer to our homes. Sober homes screen guests for alcohol and drugs, enforce house rules and curfew, and each guest holds their brothers and sisters accountable. Vanderburgh Sober Living is also a Certified B Corporation, and the first organization to earn this award in Worcester. House Mentors and staff lead and support each sober living home; helping to ensure a positive recovery environment for all guests.   1. All applications are subject to approval, and providing false information on an application is grounds for terminating your residency.
  2. We have strong relationships with clinical facilities, correctional facilities, and community organizations.
  3. Sober homes offer an opportunity for men and women in recovery to live together and support each other while pursuing a new life in recovery.

A decision on your application will be made during the phone screen, in most cases. Apply online; someone will call you to conduct a phone screen usually within a few hours. Our vision is to establish 11 regional offices and 220 service areas to support 2,400 recovery homes in the VSL network.

The Hope House

Guests are engaged in their personal recovery journey by attending meetings and working with a sponsor and a House Mentor for support and encouragement. Guests adhere to a curfew, submit to drug and alcohol screenings, and participate in home and community events. The VSL and Hope House ™ brands are used with permission by VSL Chartered Operators. Recovery home certification is awarded by state affiliates organized under the National Alliance for Recovery Residences, or NARR. House Rules in Sober Houses A sober house is often considered to be the br.. Guests of sober homes pay affordable and simple all-inclusive rent payments on a weekly or monthly basis. Our staff and your new House Mentor will work with you to coordinate the day and time.

Guests

Rental rates vary across our homes, starting at $150 per week. A $200 deposit is due when moving in, additional to your first week payment. Transitional housing is temporary housing for the working homeless population and is set up to transition their residents to permanent housing. Approved applicants can move in as soon as there is a bed available. We can often accommodate your move-in day within 24-hours of your application.

We carefully screen each applicant and conduct a telephone screen prior to approval to ensure a good fit in our homes. A full-time manager for a large Worcester manufacturing company, he devotes his home life to those in recovery as one of our House Mentors. He completed House Mentor Training and began his role in 2019. He leads a fantastic group of men in their recovery journey, offering support and encouragement to each guest. We welcome new guests who are committed to living a life of continued sobriety. Applicants must be over 18 years old and haven’t used drugs or alcohol within 14 days.
